Robotic Art comes to COYA Abu Dhabi

COYA Abu Dhabi launches its 2019 art season with Robosapien, the inaugural exhibition of Ukrainian artist Yuliia Korienkova’s unique concept of robotic art.

Abu Dhabi-based contemporary artist Korienkova started her career in cubism before she evolved into developing robotic art, which when partnered with her innovative techniques and use of LED screens and gold leaf, creates three-dimensional optical illusions.

“Robosapian is humankind’s next step in preserving our species on earth and solving challenges we face as we struggle to meet future demands. This is our opportunity to avoid extinction, so let us leap together into a new era,’ said Korienkova.

“Given Abu Dhabi’s leadership as a cultural destination, COYA Abu Dhabi is excited to create a new art season in 2019 to offer a platform for emerging artists and celebrate all aspects of creativity in the capital,” said Pizzini Stefano, General Manager, COYA Abu Dhabi.

COYA Abu Dhabi’s guests for lunch, dinner, Friday brunch, and drinks can experience Korienkova’s artwork starting January 23.

COYA Abu Dhabi is based at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island. Entry to the exhibition is free of charge.
